Allison Proulx Bio

Allison is currently completing her Master of Fine Arts degree in painting and sculpture at Texas Woman’s University. Allison was formerly an animation background artist, working for Walt Disney Feature Animation and Hanna Barbara. She worked on films such as Aladdin, Pocahontas, Hunchback of Notre Dame and Fantasia Continued, and television shows Tom and Jerry Kids Show, Johnny Quest, Droopy, Yo Yogi and others.

She has received numerous awards for her mixed media work, including “Best of Show” two years in a row with the Visual Art Society of Texas, and first place in the “Emerging Artist Competion” at the World Art Expo in Fullerton, CA. She has been selected for numerous juried exhibitions including Craighead Green’s “New Texas Talent” exhibition, Rockport Center for the Arts “Rising Eyes of Texas”, and the “Pop-Up” exhibition series at First Street Gallery in New York in January, 2014.

Allison studied at Rhode Island School of Design where she participated in the honor’s program in Rome, Italy, and ultimately received her BFA with distinction from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. She currently resides near Ft. Worth, TX.
