John E. Douglass

John E. Douglass (1905-1969) Douglas studied with Frank Reaugh and later with Thomas Hart Benton. A member of the Dallas Nine, he assisted on murals and sculptural decoration erected for the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition. He studied in Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico as well as the Art Students League in New York. Douglas is also known for his picture frames.
